A horse electric motor?
I bought a woodworking machine with an engine of engine power to 550 volts-1. I 550 volts not available in my shop. "I can use a horse = 1 horsepower 110 volt with the same pattern, and the engine would give me the same result?
Hmm, I knew that one horsepower equals 746 watts, but I do not know the original definition. From Howstuffworks, one horsepower equals 33,000 foot-pounds of work in a minute (Or as the example in the connection, he says, lifting 330,100 pounds of coal in feet a minute.) Interesting. However, an engine power on the board should be equivalent, regardless of the voltage applications. The only difference is that the 110 volt motor draw more current than the 550 volt motor given the same post (edit: and efficiency of the engine).
