WOOD WORK WAREHOUSE

My sister’s porch has a big hole in it with some rotting wood and she thinks the two of us can fix it?
I am sceptical…my dad built a porch and a garage when I was growing up, but I don’t think it is a genetic trait…and I am afraid of heights and falling and breaking my noggin…Any tips? I have a harness from working in a warehouse, but no rope thingy that goes with it and not sure where to attach it to the roof…and also she thinks we can do the shingles too on the house…and the roofer told her the chimney needs point tucked on the brick or the chimney might fall down…I have tried to get her to refinance to pay someone to do all this…she puts buckets in her house where the roof leaks…
well its quite a big job for to girls your harness will be useless because you wont have any were to attach it sounds like to roof is completely ruined the best option would be to strip the roof refelt it no i wouldnt suggest you do this alone even a proffesional would expect scaffolding it makes the job a lot easier although not impossible to doit without i would not recomened any one inexperieced to challenge this you could fall off i have heard of roofers falling off roofs if the house is leaking the best bet maybe to claim on her insurance
