Need some wood for furniture construction. The best online sources to buy?

I try to build a Murphy bed from above, corresponding to the towers and an office. I have plans, but limited sources of wood. Local Lowes / Home Depot are oak and maple. Woodworkerssource.com has all the wood it needs, but their standard lengths are 6 'and I need them closer to 8'. I have chosen the place, but needs some options. Remember an article on the wood that grows on a tree plantation in South America, where the wood has knots limited and very pleasant to work with (also the means environment). Can not find the article here. Furthermore, the width is not really a factor since an assembler will work well. It folds rather, not only to build with solid surfaces.
