What is the best way to restore teak wood?

I work in a teak bench for my mom. This is your plan for me. : S was Original gray and dirty. I denatured alcohol and steel wool, bought the first cleaning of wool was the break in the grain. Then I used a brush and a bronze to get the rest out til I could see the natural golden color. He seemed to always have what I have tried a steel wire brush that worked very well. However, I read the wood must be smooth after using wire brushes, the grain is very high. So I used a grinder to make it smooth, but the sand seemed to draw heat the oil in the wood and headed blackish green light. I tried wet sanding to remove the heat but I could not tell any difference. Once dry it is very light gray to gray green and gold. What is the proper way to restore teak wood? Do I have the first blow with the grain raised? How can the natural teak gray when exposed the use of wire brushes color is gold?

In my opinion, teak is the most beautiful of all wood furniture, as it requires no varnish or urethane finish.
