Small dinghy which is fibreglass. There are drill holes in bottom. What should I do to fill the holes in?

Hi, I have a small dinghy which is old and used. Been dragged up beaches with rocks on for years etc. Very worn hull so we did some small patches of fibreglass and but bronze strips over the 3 lines that stick out on the bottom. Anyway, we drilled holes through the bottom of the boat so we could screw the metal on. We had to put a piece of wood in the inside becuase the boat itself is too thin to hold a screw. ANyway, now it leaks through the drill holes and one hole is completely threadless. What should I do, I have tried putting marine silicone in it but that leaks. Fibrelgass doesn’t work in small areas like that very well and after a year it leaks again. Any Ideas?

Fiberglass wood strips (runners) where you have the holes and had put the bronze strips. Bevel the edges of the wood so you don’t have sharp corners and use multiple layers of glass. Then you can attach the metal strips on the wood runners bedding them down in marine silicone.
