Need a book recommendation for my Dad?
My dad’s birthday is coming up soon, and i wanted to get him a good book. He likes wood working, volleybal, fly fishing, camping, hiking, a little bit of poetry here and there.
any ideas???
Hemingway’s In Our Time
There’s lots of manly stuff in it: combat, matadoring, fishing, gambling, etc. Also, it is kinda short. It’s a great choice for the man who doesn’t read much. I mean, does he like long novels? Does he read big books often? This book won a Pulitzer Prize.
If he likes long novels, try Lonesome Dove.
You could get him a book of poetry, such as a collection of the poems of Dylan Thomas, or of a particular era, like the poems of World War 1. I cannot remember the exact titles for these two books, sorry. I’ve read them though, and they’re very good.
