WOOD WORK OIL

I have a wood and oil furnance. The first couple of times I used the wood furnace this year it worked fine..?
but now I cannot get it to give off any heat! Although the oil will….does anyone know what could be causing this??
Could you have a thick buildup of soot on the inside walls acting as an insulator?
