table against the plate thickness of solid wood hardware?
I was thinking of getting a table VIKA Furuskog counter (ikea: 200cmx60cm http://www.ikea.com/ca/fr/catalog/products/60103608) with some legs of the table IKEA … but then I asked if it was more practical and functional enough for use as a desk despite its small width? And since I'm looking for a team of solid wood office, I wondered if it was a better alternative to just go to a hardware store and get a thick sheet and cut massive wooden in the correct size (after the sand and the stain), but I'm not sure if it works well as a counter table. What do you think / suggest? alternatives? Thanks in advance!
It just depends on what you do on the table, you have to hold on to it. Everything we're seeing is (sorry, my brain works better in Imperial) 2 feet deep (front / rear) only 6 inches shorter than standard size office, and is slightly longer than a standard desktop computer. As for office work at the moment, I do not think I'd miss six inches. If the superficiality work for you, I'd go to the table Ikea. Ikea is the top one inch thick. Beginning to face plywood thick, so you should compare the prices of your local wood, and remember you need to cons-plated with one side completely smooth, I forgot what they call it. sanding done carefully so as not to come in this way is a long process. Top Ikea is smooth and finished on all sides now. Wood edges can work should be smooth. The thicker the top to use, the less the possibility for bend when used. I noticed that when I made a sewing table. 04.03 I used wood, but it was too thin and vibrated a lot when the machine was working I could not sew on it and had to go. Check the position of the legs carefully, too. If you turn right at the end, you may get too much flexibility in the middle but not far from the final wish is Tippy. Another advantage of the thicker wood is that it gives fuel to screw the legs. The legs will fail to be back on a table, but the more wood you have to put screws in the best stay. I know they have more money, but you can also see wood counters the kitchen to use for Ikea desktop. They are also thicker than the one you're looking for and therefore could be more stable and less flexible.
